Got Packing List?
I'm woefully behind in my race packing. In fact, it just hit me that I won't wear my race outfit again until race day so perhaps I should put it in a safe place rather than the bottom of the clean laundry bin.
For those of you who are getting ready for race day, take a look at this Ironman Packing List put together by the blog owner, Nancy Toby. I'm using it as the basis for my preparations. Hope it helps!

Almost Taper Time!!!!
Hey all!!!!
We are almost to the race day, can you believe it? How is everyone feeling?
In the next few days this blog will be getting a lot busier as we all make the final plans for our race day.
There will be an updated participants list, volunteer list, and suggestions for places to meet on race day. The comments section is giving me a little trouble but I'll make an effort to drop by the blog to stay current.
Taper well, amigos!

Barney Rice Memorial Fund
As you may or may not have seen in the April 2007 Triathlete Magazine, there have been 2 funds set up to memorialize Barney Rice, the triathlete who died at Ironman Florida last November:
There is a memorial foundation (to benefit underprivileged children), to which you can contribute online:
http://www.active.com/donate/brmf
But there is a second memorial fund for his three children (one of whom has some type of ongoing medical condition), which is collecting donation checks by mail:
Barney Rice Memorial Fund
c/o DA Davidson & Co.
PO Box 128
Kalispell, MT 59903
Please be generous.
