Florida Surf

"Prepare for the worst, hope for the best"...anything can happen race day. This is what the surf looked like a couple of days before IMFLA in '04...so during this upcoming season, if you have a chance to practice in big waves..i'd suggest you do!!! I know I will!!

Comments:
You're scaring me, Shelley!

you had to throw that up there didn't you. The only waves I will see is from passing kayaks and a few sea doos

That's looks like the surf we had at Escape from Ft. De Soto (not the year I almost drown, the other year). The Gulf of Mexico can get rough. At least it will be warm, right?

It will be WARM and very FLAT!!!!

Invest in a psychiatrist. Everyone had something driving them to the edge. Whether it was the waves the day before, what to put in the transition bags (and special needs bag), how many reflectors do I need, should I change into cycling shorts for the bike leg, the list goes on and on. We are all nutcases on the brink. That is why we choose this sport.

You can read my account of the '04 race here...http://bouldermultisport.blogspot.com/2005/11/redlands-update.html

I will be back in '06. Good luck to all and happy training!
